Two Pints a Day - Self-medicating through better beer

It was almost universally-agreed that the barrel-aged was far superior. It had better be, for 25$/bottle! One taster said he liked his beer to taste like beer.
I wouldn’t say that this didn’t taste like beer but it did have some whiskey notes and defined wood. After tasting this the regular abbey ale, a very flavorful beer, tasted almost bland.
