Kasteel Donkel

It was a nice surprise to see this being poured at the wife’s boss’ holiday party.  I’ve had Kasteel Rouge before, this was my first experience with the Donker. As you can see the carbonation is very light.  With light carbonation the sweetness is a bit more overpowering than it would be otherwise.  This is an enjoyable, dark, sweet, wintery brew, but a bit sweet for my tastes personally.
